By: Christian Dye Jazmin Louise Antinew is a sixteen year old sophomore student here at Eldorado High School. One of her favorite classes is Journalism because writing is one of her favorite things to do, and the class grants her the ability to express her creativity through a keyboard. Her hobbies are reading, writing, and singing. If she’s not doing those things, then she is probably spending time with her younger brother, Cyril Antinew. She just recently immigrated from Baguio, a city in the Philippines. She traveled with both of her parents and brother for a better high school and college education. She plans on going to UNLV to become a doctor, because she is passionate about helping others and making them feel better. Once she becomes a doctor, she wants to relocate either back to the Philippines, or Canada. Canada is where most of her other relatives moved to, so being close to family is very important to her. She loves her traditional Philippino food, but one dish in particular stands out from the rest called sisig, made up of pork, chicken, seasoned with calamansi, onion, and chilli peppers. Antinew is an outgoing, kind, and caring student. Anybody who knows her would agree, and feel lucky to have her in their life. She is smart, and ambitious. With a strong willed head over her shoulders, without a doubt she will accomplish all her future ventures.
