Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the sport. Unfortunately the world lost Kobe on January 26, 2020, in Calabasas, CA. Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven other people died in a helicopter crash while on the way to a youth basketball tournament. He played his entire 20-season professional career in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. He won five NBA championships, was an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, was named the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), and was a two-time NBA Finals MVP winner. Kobe had one of the best NBA careers ever seen. A night before his death Lebron James passed Kobe for the No.3 spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Bryant returned in time for the start of the 2015-2016 NBA season, he personally struggled alongside his young Lakers teammates. In November 2015, he announced that he would retire at the end of the season. Kobe had given his all to the NBA and achieved many things, but his body couldn't handle it any more. Kobe Bryant was also a family man. He was married to Vanessa Laine Bryant for more than 19 years. Kobe and Vanessa had 4 kids together and they were all girls. One of the four girls was traveling with her dad the day of the accident. For the rest of their lives they will have to live without their Dad and husband.
