Leaving middle school is a big step, but entering high school is an even bigger step. Compared to middle school, high school is very different. The campus is much larger, the amount of students is enormous, and the coursework is a lot harder. High school is like a roller coaster, and there is no denying that. So, you need to be prepared for it, and who better to help you than someone who’s about to graduate? There are many things I wish I knew when entering high school, and now that know them, I am going to share some of my high school wisdom with you. One of the biggest pieces of advice that I can give you, is to memorize your classes and the campus as quickly as you can. It’s no fun running around like a lost puppy, and even worse, walking into the wrong classroom. Another piece of advice is to try out any activities that sound interesting to you. Whether it be football, or joining the conspiracy theories club, explore your passions and take advantage of your opportunities. If it doesn’t work out, at least you can say you tried. Another vital thing I wish I knew is that education comes first, and you need to remember that. It’s above relationships, above friendships, above everything. More so, do not procrastinate, I repeat, do not procrastinate. Do your homework, assignments, and projects on time, it’s self explanatory. The longer you wait to do something, the harder it gets. More into that, you need to do your best. Sure, one bad grade or one failed class isn’t going to determine your future, but it’s important to do your best and stay on track. You might not think it matters now, but 4 years later when you’re putting in college applications, you will realize how much it does. If you do happen to fall off track, make sure you get back on. Finally, the most important piece of advice to you is to just enjoy high school. It goes by in the blink of an eye, and before you know it, its over. These next four years will be some of the best and worst of your life, but there's a whole world waiting for you after high school. Stay true to yourself and you’ll be okay.
